Today's Etsy

The Etsy pots I showed on yesterday's blog post are mostly sold. Here are a few of the pieces I've been working on putting up today:

  2. Thanks, Ron! While I was down in Florida over the weekend, my friend, Glenn Woods, happened to have the catalogue from the 2005 or 2006 Wooster Functional Ceramics exhibition. It wasn't until I saw that catalogue again that I realized that we were in that exhibit together (you had a beautiful, big platter pictured in the catalogue). Small world, this pottery world.

  3. Yes, that red sunburst glaze is lovely! Is that another David Shaner glaze?

  4. Thanks, Carolanne. No, that isn't a Shaner glaze. That's a glaze I pubished in Clay Times with the name "Millring Red". It was originally a glaze I received from a guy who fired electric -- and it was even a passably good red glaze that way. I modified that original glaze and the thing that really makes it glow is that I'm using it over porcelain (Coleman's cone 10 porcelain).
