First, Grog Barnard Slip wrote the play, "Pugmilian". It was the clever story of an arrogant ceramist who, on a bet, took lots of really lousy, un-homogenized clay off the streets of London, and turned it into wonderful, dense, de-aired throwing clay.
The play was so popular that it was adapted into a movie starring Red Oxide Ferrouson...
