Subtle To A T

Mark Nafziger mug Subtle seems to me to be harder to produce. I've got a friend who makes a mug that's nothing more than a modified cylinder. But he sees something in the making that he can produce, while I can see the shape for the winsome thing it is, but never fully grasp the shape well enough to reproduce it. If I did try to reproduce it, it would very quickly move away from his subtle interpretation of the cylinder. Subtle is harder.
