Happy New Year! 2011 -- Prime Number/Prime Year!

Breeze and I covered 6 miles this morning. It was supposed to be our day off (we do two days of running followed by a day off), but I wanted to start the year on a running day.

I also enjoy running in town on New Year's and Christmas and the 4th of July. Warsaw is a very small town. It's fun to run down the streets, right by the courthouse and all, and not see a single pedestrian or car on the streets. Breeze and I had the town to ourselves this morning.

As we passed the field behind the Zimmer plant, there were two deer lying down, right in the middle of the field. They watched as Breeze and I ran past. Breeze didn't notice them until I pointed them out. Then I let Breeze wander up toward them until they ran off.

The first pots I'll be firing in 2011 will be the new pinecone-topped casseroles and jars. I closed out a wonderfull 2010 last night, listening to Don Stiernberg mandolin music and cleaning up the first twenty sets of pinecones...

  1. Breeze is a very cool dog acting like he didn't "see" the deer...really, he has so much class~ he'd rather stay focused on your joint New Years Run than deal with a few lazy deer!!
    Best Wishes :)
